Module content | This module focuses on young children’s well-being and formation of identity and belonging. The well-being component of the module explores the physical, social and emotional well-being of young children, addressing different facets and indicators of well-being and factors that affect well-being in early childhood. The emotional well-being is addressed in terms of aspects such as feelings of happiness and excitement, and shyness and development of confidence. The identity and belonging component deals with young children’s development of positive regard of who they are and strategies for making them feel valued, appreciated and respected as part of their respective societal/community groups. |
